The NJVN and NJ VFW will be holding a clothes and toiletry collection drive. All donations will benefit our disabled veterans at Lyons VA, East Orange VA, Vets Haven North & South, and Operation Valor.

We are setting up for a Veterans family day event which includes a video game tournament for kids with prizes, free food and a showing of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem film. This movie will be shown on a large movie cinema size screen.

The 3rd Annual New Jersey State Police Classic Car Show. Classic cars, TV/Movie cars, emergency vehicles, BMX stunts, food trucks, the NJSP Museum & Learning Center, and more await you. Concerts, face painting, and celebrity visits like American Chopper’s Paul Jr. and Moonshiners’ Amanda Bryant are planned. This event is free.

Movie field trip for Veteran Families Operation Valor Veterans Shelter and Lyons VA Hospital.     We have rented a movie theatre in Teaneck for only Veterans and Veteran families to see the new DC Superhero Blue Beetle movie. This is the first Hispanic Superhero movie. We will provide food and resources at a tailgate party before the film at the American Legion. At the tailgate, we will have school supplies for children and some comic books and toys. We may try a VFW in the area for the pre party this time. Giving out free food to the community at the Strangers Helping Strangers Pop up Market and delivering food to Veterans who could use a little help and have a hard time with transportation. Meet up time is 11am, we will be filling up bags from the pallets of food first than delivering to about 50 Veterans and Veteran families throughout Northern NJ, mostly Bergen County. We are hosting a stand down at the Union VFW. We’re looking for 5-10 volunteers to help homeless veterans throughout the event. We are providing them food, toiletries, clothing and other personal items. If interested, please contact Michael Boll – [email protected].

We’re looking to have an overnight camping trip with a next day ruck march. Camping will be on Saturday, October 8th at 3:00pm. The next day there will be a 7-mile ruck march. There will be free games, food and beverages. Also, there will be a movie played on a 17ft screen. This is a family friendly event and open to all team members and their families. We are teaming up with he US Coast Guard and the Angels program to create another amazing Veterans Event!       We are hosting a boat party for Veterans. We will board the US Coast Guard Cutter Katherine Walker and cruise around the Statue of Liberty. We will do some fishing off the boat near Sandy Hook and sail past the Boats of Fleet week! We are renting out an entire movie theater for Veterans and team members to watch the new Batman movie at the Paramus AMC!       Before that, we are teaming up with American Legion Post 170 for a pre-Batman party – complete with our friend Newark’s own Batman and his Batmobile!

We are giving away business attire to Veterans at this event. While Veterans are choosing their clothing, they will be entertained and have military based games. (Navy vs Marine Chess, army vs Air Force Chess, giant Jenga, card tournaments, and giant 200 inch screen video games.
