We spoke to them about Goodwill HVRP and NJVN programs. We also prepped them for a movie night event we will have next week!

It was a very busy weekend for the NJVN last weekend! We congratulated our brother Duddie on producing an awesome American Legion event.
We also supported the Elmwood Park Elks breakfast fundraiser. We did a table at the awesome SOS stakeholders event in Ridgefield.
Last but not least, we had a meeting with the VFW Museum in Bayonne!

The NJVN/NJ VFW hosted a Veterans Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle family day!
The team had a video game tournament on a 20 foot screen for kids and one for the adults. Winners received hoverboards, a tablet and an Alexa Echo!
We had 23 veterans choose between 4 local pizzerias for their favorite pizza!. The winner was Grumpy’s Pizza in Saddle brook.
Veterans were given new jackets, toiletries, and toys for their children!
Therapy dogs Shadow and Beethoven of the Operation K9 Beethoven team brought joy to everyone!
It was a busy day for everyone who helped out. Thank you Lori Negri, Anna Khomuk, Pedro Muriel, Michael D. Boll, Daniel Demitri, David Boone and the team over at William J. Mulligan VFW Post 281, which serves Elmwood Park & Fair Lawn.
